I think that cream soda tastes the best with vanilla ice cream but if you want chocolate ice cream then I suggest you try root beer or cola.

Root Beer is the obvious choice but last month the store I went to didnt have any so I bought Wild Cherry Pepsi. It was actually pretty good!

I dont like root beer and it is not readily available here (UK). I have had ice-cream floats before and have had them with Coke but was not that nice.... I have had them with Cream soda and it was yummy... give it a try!
