He has pretty good knowledge his traditional Krptonian religion. Their god was Roa, the sun god (occasionally you hear him say "Merciful Roa!"). This was actually mentioned in a recent issue of Superman, a few months back. However he was raised on Earth (he is a country boy at heart), so he also takes a lot from other religions and practical philosophies. It should be noted that Superman will not eat meat because he sees all life as precious, and sees their "aura". These are all issues that have appeared in Superman comics over the years.
