Yes, they will. The treatment of Eczema has come a long way over the past 60 years or more. Initially in the 40's the treatment was coal tar. In the 50's and 60's the treatment was in using corticosteroid creams, allergy shots and keeping the skin clean, moisturized and taking antihistamines to stop the itching. Eczema is difficult to live with. It is very disturbing to find yourself scratching your skin away because the itch is so bad and the scratching seems to make it feel better until the pain begins to take over. I know because I have had eczema for over 65 years. Only in the past several years has the itching stopped for the most part and I can live finally free of the terrible scratching episodes that made my life miserable.

If he has infected areas, he should go to a doctor for a round of antibiotics. He doesn't want to loose his feet or legs to an infection. Infections are very serious and if they travel to his heart, they could even cost him his life. Talk him into getting some antibiotics if at all possible. And it wouldn't even hurt to check his blood sugar levels. Most people believe eczema is an auto-immune disease. If the homeopath is treating him with things and lifestyles that help with allergies then she is probably helping him. My last thought would be about her possibly using those foot pad things at night? Has he been doing that? If he has, they may actually be causing the infection. I am not sure what they are called, but they look like big tea bags and are supposed to drain the "poisons" from your system through the bottom of your feet. Is he using those? Are they causing this problem? If this were me....... I would go to a doctor. I do believe in homeopathic approaches at times, but when it comes to an infection, it is just not worth the risk of not treating it. Aspirin might also help with the itching. And he might try some anti-fungus cremes too. Finally, the doctor could prescribe some steroids if he chooses to go that route. At least get the antibiotics.

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

In curing eczema, one must bear in mind that the main goal is to stop skin itchiness that may worsen the irritations. Thus, there is a need to use mild cleansers, soaps, and lotions to clean the skin and relieve it from those irritating and itchy symptoms. It is advised that you consult a dermatologist or a physician in order to get prescriptions or recommendations of cleansers that are ideal to use for eczema-infected skin. Eczema lotions are also available. Cold compresses can also help alleviate the itchiness. You must also remember to resist the urge to scratch the infected area, so you don't make the condition even worse.
I strongly recommend this natural remedy. It really worked for me. Here is the website: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=556

I have small patches of exzema that appear on my arms and stomach. I use a nail brush (that you use to lean out under your nails) and while in the shower literally brush the skin till its red. I then use hair conditioner (or lotion with Coca Butter when out of the shower) and let it sit for a few minutes. It might sound crazy, but it works very well for me.
