i was the type of person who never wanted to let anyone in or open up to anyone! now that this has occured and i've opened up now i'm back to having that wall up and not willing to let anyone in. Its really been hard on me, i've been down alot and i've tried to keep myself busy but it doesn't work,so how do you get over that special person when every little thing reminds you of them! Advice Anyone!

Go out with friends and try to be happy hun. I know from personal experience. Its not easy I know. What helped me was thinking about all the reasons we broke up, get mad, and it helped me to get over him a lot easier. I take it he broke up with you, so he obviously wasn't worth the heartbreak. Just think of all the stuff that made you break up in the first place there is somebody out there for everyone, keep your chin up, you will find him and then your actions will just take charge!

I feel very sorry for you. I never had that problem, I married my first love.
Just remember if you don't let anyone in, you may miss out on a great opportunity. You have to go through the motions and emotions of life. Just make sure you have yourself one really good friend that you can lean on, cry to and laugh with.

**** another person. That should distract your mind for a bit. But girl, you have to move on. I did. I just got a divorce with my husband. It was not a pretty thing. I got the house. Everything reminds me of him but I have to move on. He did. Why can't I! Do the same. Distract your mind. Go out with friends. Do something. Don't think about it.

try to move on. it'll be hard but there's no way you'll ever stop caring for that person. i still haven't got over my first luv and I'm in a relationship now and i can say that i do love him but cant forget about my ex.

I never got over my first love, but over the years I have learned to move on, but she still quickens my heart whenever I see her. Good Luck

you'll never get over that person. fortunately as time goes by, the feelings will lessen. also, dating someone helps as well. it doesn't have to be anything serious. just having someone else show an interest in you will lift your spirits.
