The level of sugar in the pasta sends your body into overdrive producing insulin to maintain your blood sugar level. It is typically made with some form of "enriched" carbohydrate which gets processed especially fast. After your insulin is done shuttling the fats and sugars out of your bloodstram and drops back to normal levels, your lowered blood sugar level triggers the hunger feeling in your brain. Also, some of it could be a lack of liquids. Pangs from your stomach don't always mean you're hungry, hunger pangs and thirst pangs feel exactly the same.

I think it turns into glucose, or sugar, very quickly. I bet you're tired too. Simple carbs like pasta turn to glucose quickly, which gives you a boost of energy, but then there's a let down. I think it makes you feel really full, too.

Because it is a quick fix. Releases energy quickly leaving you feeling hungry shortly afterwards despite being over full when you first ate it. Bread is the same. Eat foods which release energy slowly.

Eat more slowly. Use wholewheat pasta. Bulk out sauce with veg. Processed sauces can be very salty - you are probably just thirsty. Drink more water.

Carbs get processed quickly and leave you feeling hungry soon. It's like a sugar high that turns to a low.
That's why people cut out carbs when they want to cut out cravings.

Cuz there's hardly any fiber in regular pasta, so it slips right through your system. Whole wheat pasta will digest more slowly.

Pasta is pure carbohydrates. They are digested quickly and leave you hungry. Protein, however, takes longer to break down, therefore you are full longer.

the carbohydrates in the pasta should help to fill you up but if it isn't working try adding extra to the pasta, like cheese as cheese is able to help you fill full quicker.
