Because Christianity - the true religion is hated by so many.

Why is it that the people who are in the majority are always whining about being discriminated against? Has anyone ever told you that you couldn't join a club, or check into a hotel because you were Christian? Has anyone ever told you that you couldn't play with their child because you were Christian? There are over 200,000,000 Christians in this country and, for example, 5,290,000 Jews. How is it possible for a majority that size to be discriminated against? Does discrimination mean not having everything your own way to you?

Christianity has free speech but when you see some of the questions asked on here they probably shouldn't have, I am a christian and when I see some of the questions asked on here I shudder to think what some of the answers would be, down right embarrassing some times, good thing I have a good sense of humour.

I do not see it that way. What I see is 5 to 10 TV channels devoted to the christian religion, I see church being Televised on network TV every Sunday ;morning, I see prayer being said at every sporting event, I see pages in the newspaper devoted to the christian religion. I see your religious affiliation being asked of you when you are checked into the hospital, I see elder homes bombarded by church services every day of the week, because there is a captivating audience waiting for them. I see churches of every kind on every street corner in the US.

I can only supposed you are wanting to be discriminated against so as to make the bible true, a self proclaiming prophecy.

Oh yeah... we see so many Pagan organizations running thru the streets in their parades... Temples on every corner. Oh, they even have their own Television Networks.

PLEASE show me where you are being discriminated against. Seems to me you all are just ticked off because people are trying to get their own 2 cents worth in and it's taking up your time. No other religion in america even has half the publicity Christianity does. You have commercials on TV, your own TV Networks (Robertson comes to mind here), you have groups in politics (you don't see pagan groups or atheist groups there in the same way you see Christianity), Churches on almost every corner... some of your sects go door to door. Christmas is accepted as a Federal holiday..... though the actual traditions are pagan, the holiday itself is now Christian. Easter, though not a Federal holiday, is Commercialized. Nativity scenes in front of Shopping Malls. There are even Christmas Cartoons that are Christian *Nester - The long-eared donkey* Some Christian groups show up at soldiers funerals in order to protest homosexuality. Come on.... provide something that shows you are being discriminated against.... especially when almost 90% of America claims to be Christian.

Or is it the fact that other groups that have come out recently also want the same Freedom of Religion and Speech that you all hold dear? And please, do not hand me "well, they're taking the 10 commandments out of court rooms" First off, they only remove them if the Judge residing there is trying to use it to make laws according to your religion. Secondly.... please show me in our own secular laws where ALL of the 10 commandments are. I can worship any god I want. I do not have to keep the sabbath day. I can commit adultery and covet my neighbors things without being put in jail or being fined. The only ones from the 10 that are in our laws is against is murder, stealing... and lying, but only if you get caught in COURT doing it. I can lie to my boss and get away with it... even if i get caught, he can't throw me in jail over it.

Can you wear a cross to school? or work? My 16 yr old son can not wear a pagan symbol to school (which we are fighting right now). So please don't try to convince me that you are being discriminated against.

I truly don't understand why some Christian feel this way. Everywhere I look I see the Christian religion being talked about in this country. I have about five Christian tv stations on my satellite network. A lady on the bus handed me a tract about the love of Christ the other day. Exactly how are you people being muzzled? Is it because we still have some laws that protect our public spheres from being completely taken over by you?

That seems exactly backwards to me. I don't know why Christians on Y!A seem to have such a persecution complex, but Christianity is very close to being the state religion in the U.S. Christianity is very dominant here.

I'm Christian, but I don't have any kind of illusion that people are out to get me or anything like that. I don't feel that my freedoms are restricted even a tiny bit. I don't know where you all get it from; it seems just insane to me.

I am not sure what you are talking about. You have the 700 club, Rush Limbaugh, mega-churchs, 13 churches on my street alone, a constitutional right, a majority, you even go door to door, and you certainly have Yahoo! answers!

I think the Christian majority are the ones who are dead set on oppression. They certainly were during the 30s and 40s in Germany. Can you imagine me, a freethinker, going door to door, or putting an ad in the newspaper. I would probably be hung by the nice, tolerant christians.

Yeah right. Do you think its easy to be a non-Christian with all you Bible Thumpers telling us what to do with our uteruses and in schools and what kind of marriage is ok and what kind isn't.

And Islams, totally not discriminated against when they get on an airplane, are they.

You need to step outside of your small little box of reality and put yourself into someone elses shoes. I've been in your shoes, I know what its like. Got the hell away from that crap because of people like you.

That's easy it is the end days Satan knows where he is threatened so he works in those areas exposes the wrongs and hides the truths Christians do a pretty good job of messing up Christianity by them selves as well trying to take control of a topic instead of letting God be God but i think it is because we are in the last days

God Bless

I dont know about that.

I remember silent night being sung at my Public Middle School Christmas concert. And that was only 8 years ago.
