A witch in the Biblical times is not the same as a witch now.
Secondly, assuming since your daughter is in public school, she is under the age of 18, most likely this is just some phase as most teenagers go through in order to gain attention.
She won't die, but I would have a serious talk with her about spirituality, and then make her walk a fine line. Show her you're the parent.

When examining the bible and its historical connotations, you can see the reasoning for abasing 'witches/wiccans'. The religious implications of their belief system lend themselves towards the idea that nature is the power to which we should bend knee; that nature is beautiful and should be respected. Conversely, Christianity follows the thought that God is the true power and that He/She should be respected. In order to eradicate all non-believers, these early Christians formulated documents and passages that made them out to heretics. Thus we enter into a period where you could lose your life for following an older and, in my opinion, a truer form of religion. Don't look to movies and TV. That is just entertainment and does not portray wiccans in a true light. Your child needs to choose her way of life. Do not force something upon her. If you are true to yourself and your religion and you give her all the love in your heart, then she may find that how her parents live their lives is a more attractive way. Much luck.
PS, if you kill someone because they are a 'witch', aren't you committing murder? If so, then you are committing a dire sin (according to the bible) which means you go to hell.....can't you see the hypocrisy?

Educate yourself about the religion first and then make an educated decision on the matter. Pick up "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. That book will explain everything there is to know about the Wiccan religion. It is not evil or bad.

I bet she got that idea from television. They have popular programs and movies geared at our youth glamourizing that kind of a lifestyle without telling the truth of the lifestyle. Why don't you try to educate her a bit on the truth of being a witch? I bet you could go to the library and find a good book on the subject to help steer her away from this nonsense. Then sit her down and watch one of the "holloywood style" witch shows with her so she can see the truth for herself. Also, a good dose of Biblical truth is always best. Good Luck

I think that this is more of a media thing instead of school, because really I went to private christian school and kids there did worse things secretly not all but some, like one girl jumped of the roof of her house and smoked pot and stuff, so I think you should just keep her in public school but if things get worse or people start bulling her get her help.

She needs to be out of public school.
What I'd do depends on how old she is. If she is young enough to take a switch to. Let her have it.
If she's too old for that. She needs to be out of your house. You don't need that kind of demonic influence around. I'd wait until the weather gets a little colder though. A few nights on the street when it is cold and wet might help to bring her to her senses.
In Christ,
Bob

discuss with her why she wants to be a witch and what she understands by what that means to be one. I don't think switching her to another school is going to help her because it will make it seem that u don't respect what she wants in life. I'm not saying that u will agree with what she chooses to do but try to make her see things your way and her's as well.

I don't think it's public school doing it. Religious school would just make her hide it even more.
Tell her she can learn about it, because learning can't hurt, but that you're not comfortable with her practicing it. I wouldn't be too hard on her because it'll push her away more. Have her learn about more religions other than just witchcraft though.

Why don't you read Scott Cunningham's "The Truth About Witchcraft Today" and learn what modern Wicca is all about instead of clinging to out of date and misinformed information.
Wicca (the religion of witchcraft) isn't the evil you were lead to believe.

Talk to her and explore her reasoning for wanting to become a witch....there may be another issue at hand that is manifesting itself in this way. She just may want your attention, or peer attention, trying to fit in. There are always alternatives to any problem. Just start by listening to her and talking to her.
