I have two of them in my left eye. They have been there for years. They appeared after a boy in school punched me in the eye. They are commonly referred to as floaters. While they are very annoying I don't think they are dangerous in any way. It happens when a part jelly type substance in the eye becomes suspended in the eye. You can look up more information with Wikipedia.

It is called a floater. Usually it is nothing to worry about, but you may want to have your eyes checked just to be sure. If you see any flashes or more floaters pop up see a doctor right away.

Floaters are a very common thing. I noticed my first one when in my early 20s.
You just have to learn to live with them.
