My wife purchased a white riesling a few months ago that was really nice. But she can't remember exactly where she got it and I can't remember the winery. The only thing I can rememeber is that the label has an opening where you can see through the bottle and see a painting of a lady's face. It was semi-dry. Has anyone come across this riesling? What is the winery's name.

I've seen that wine, but I can't remember it either.

Bretto,
Washington State wines have lately been giving German wines a run for their money.

Well, my computer has frozen and required restart three times so far while I've tried to answer this question and I keep coming back. That alone should get me the 10pts - lol

I think you might be talking about Bonny Doon Pacific Rim Riesling. See if the lady at the link below is your gal.

Recent bottlings of this would likely have the new tech screw cap and on this bottle it's sort of a light peach color. I'm staring at a bottle of it right now :)

Reisling happens to b my favorite.
A vinyard called Casa Larga, in upstate NY has a great one, especially the 1996 year.
Also a great semi reisling is the Chateu St. Michelle. I buy this one in the grocery store but any wine store will have it.
I know this does not answer your specific ?, sorry I D K about the lady in the label.

I'm at a loss, but try a local wine cellar... There is bound to be someone there that could help you. I live in upstate NY and the area is crawling with wineries and wine cellars.

I'm not sure, but my absolute favorite riesling is made by Chateau Ste. Michelle from Washington State.
