Hey Kookoo Bananas,
Too bad for him, this is natural - If you can't hold it in your hands, you can't hold it.

WOW! If this has presented the concept-about breaking apart which includes her, you're literally no longer waiting to be in a relationship! so that you would possibly want to need a divorse along with your destiny spouse if she farts on your presence? before each little thing i imagine you're overracting over this, 2d you owe her an apology for making her sense like she is scum on earth and that she is the basically one which farts int his international! Wha? do not you fart?!!? next time, how you would possibly want to take care of this form of project through both guffawing it off or basically stepping aside till the "coast is sparkling" through the way..it really is noted as Human Nature! Sheesh

Well, since you asked in the Etiquette section, you get the Etiquette answer.
Yes, your friend overreacted. One is assumed not to be in control of flatulence. Anyone saying or doing anything, including the "culprit," draws attention to it and is rude. Everyone is supposed to politely pretend nothing happened.
This is different than a burp, which one is assumed to be in control of, and requires an "excuse me."
I don't make the rules, but I know about them!

That's really disgusting actually, i would react that way if i was at his place.
you know when it's comin... so hold it a lil while, move to another place a lil far from a dining room, away from the place someone is eating, and fart. Farting at the table is really impolite, you should have said "Excuse-me", it doesn cost anything buddy!

I can understand why he was upset. Some people have really sensitive stomachs, and things like that can really bother them. As long as you apologized, he should forgive you.
I have a friend who became sick in school one day.....We were watching a film of chickens laying their eggs, and he had to get up and leave the room, he also couldn't eat lunch that day.

He overreacted , of course, you can't really control some bodily functions...our culture just seems to be obsessed with some and not others....I can see him being upset if what you did was deliberate behaviour..but in this case...WTF were you supposed to do---save it for an appropriate time?

You are the gift that keeps on sharing.
Well, you could do what Bush is doing in the White House to pique his jollies as according to US News and World Report he has taken to setting a flame to his rear discharges. Fun for everyone!
See how your friend would respond to that. "Need that burger warmed up? Here let me at it for a minute..."

He overreacted and you were rude. Two wrongs don't make it right. Buy your friend lunch the next time you see him and don't gas it up this time.

As long as you didn't force it out on purpose, you have no control over what your body does. Humans fart...it's part of our normal digestive process. I think he overreacted. It's unfortunate he was downwind of you.

Organic life forms expel gas.
Everyone farts!
Sometimes you can't hold it in.
Just Poot and apologize, but don't make a Habit of it!
Mind your sphincter better next time.

Next time, say you need to got the bathroom and fart in there. If not possible, try to hold it for as long as you can.
