well for starters if you roommate has / would do this id keep up the food/drink supply up mostly and prepare to call a white bus and straight jacket supplers ASAP!! You friend must have serious thrill/needy/attention seeking issues plus that is extremely dangerous

knock on the door see if he is ok and if he answers at least ask him if he is ok offer some food to him and if he says no just leave him theres nothing you can do except wait eventually he will come out.
