I was in the shower the other day and my cat ((who is male)) jumped in with me. I felt weird because nobody has ever seen me naked and i was uncomfortable. And then it is also wierd because i thought cats hate water. But he is just a kitten and we just got him. My boyfriend and i live together ((But never have done anything)) so my boyfriend bought the kitten because he knows its my favorite animal. Is it wierd for the cat to get in the shower and is it weird that i was shy ((hes just a cat))???

When a kitten is young they always want to learn and know things maybe your kitten never went in water before, or maybe because he saw you in the shower he might of thought that if it didn't bother you it probably wouldn't bother him. oh, and some people are totally uncomfortable to be seen in the shower... even if it's by your pet. Some people might think how you feel is not normal at all, but to other people it bothers them very much. So it depends how you see things and think differently from other people.

The same exact thing happened to me when my cat was young.
She still jumps in the tub at 7yrs old! (When the shower's off)
I laughed at how I reacted at first. But now that I'm used to her I don't care. It's so funny how we are sometimes. I myself like my privacy & I'm not comfortable with anyone seeing me naked eccept my Husband & that's the way it should be, but I think pets are an exception to the rule. They probably wonder why we wear clothes in the first place!
Craigmann25 is just a horney pig. Don't take ANY advice from horney pigs. You shouldn't be living with him until your married anyway. And if you put out, then he'll never have a reason to propose & you'll be wondering hopeing & droping hints to let him know you're ready & he'll conveiiently never get the hint & you'll just end up frustrated & be forces to threaten him that you'll leave if he dosen't. Trust me...find a good female friend to room with.

You are weird. It's a cat. He doesn't care what you look like. And now that he got in the shower once, he most likely won't do it again. My cat went swimming in the kids pool when she was a kitten. Only once though.

you'll get use to it. I take my cats into the bathroom with me all the time, though they have never actually jumped in when I was in there, but love to play in the water when I turn it on and they jump in the tub when I am done and they play in the water.

i have 2 cats and BOTH of them like the shower. maybe if you feel uncomfortable with him being in there with you, you could shut him out of the bathroom.
additionally, you could allow him in the tum with a drip before you get in, and then allow him to lick the walls when you get out. my cats love drinking water from the tub faucet, and then the floor/walls when i get out.
another suggestion, change his water often. pets do not like old, stale water any more than you would.

it may seem wierd but it's not my 3 yrs old cat still does this it no biggy if you don't want your cat in there don't aloow him in the bath room sometimes mine gets locked out and crys till i come back but you shouldn't be uncomfortable it's just a cat it not like he reports what he see to any one LOL
and some cats like water

when my husband and i got our 2nd cat about 4 years ago, he did the same thing (he was about a month old) to my husband. he did it a few times, then never again. i think it's a kitten thing, that they're just checking you out, seeing what you're doing. i also think they're checking out the noise, trying to figure out what the hell it is.
