You need to go where the locals go - forget the big casinos. Try FitzGerald's. Slots will rob you. $100 won't last too long. If you're there three days you'll be hanging around for 2 1/2 days after your $100 is gone. The only way to win there is either Poker or Horseracing. Why? Because both are games of skill and not just blind luck, you bet against other gamblers and the casinos make no money off either except a small fee per bet in Poker (they're not playing against you) and make absolutely no money from you directly in horseracing except if you WIN - it's the only game there that they want you to win, by the way (except some that are non Pari-mutual - you need to ask). Blackjack is too hard nowadays because they use multiple decks and automatic shuffling machines, and card-counters can be kicked out. Pai Gow Poker and Baccarat are too boring and hard to win/lose much, Spit-in-the-ocean, Carribean Stud, Spanish 21 and Roulette have high house advantages, and in Craps your $100 could be gone in ten minutes if you're not lucky - but if you decide to learn it it is possible to use strategies where you bet "wrong" - that is, you bet against the person rolling. And forget Keno and Wheel of Fortune - better off playing the slots! Best thing to do is buy a couple of good casino books by Scoblete, Andrews, Silberstang and others, or horseracing books by experts Barry Meadow and David Eng. After awhile you will eventually find the right game for you. Always seek out a game where you have a chance, rather than one where you are doomed to fail (most of them!)

My advice, go site seeing! Rent a car and go see Lake Tahoe, take a hike, soak up some rays and have a good time.

$100 won’t last too long in Reno (I tend to take $200 a day for gambling). Here is what I would do (if you only have $100), don’t gamble until the last day, go up to a roulette table or blackjack table and put the $100 on one bet, That way you have a good time, and in one bet, you double your money or lose the $100 you came with.

I personally like to go trinket hunting in Reno. Go to every casino; pick up a slot club card, room key, and matchbook (anything free). Then when you get home, put it all up on Ebay and make some money off the trip!

There is a Quick Stop market At Rock Blvd and McCarren, have won over $ 5,000 there. Best casino is Atlantis on S. Virginia. Depending on the game you play $100 can last awhile . Good Luck in The Biggest Little City

$100 will not last long. Silver Legacy is fun. I made $50 last all day and ended up with $50. If you are looking to last a while, I guess play nickel slots. But that is to pass the time, not to win.

Well, as I'm sure you know, $100 in nickels will last you a lot longer than $100 in dollars. You will find machines of all denominations in Reno. I would also suggest that you stick to the smaller casinos for slot play.
