exactly how much tongue piercings hurt?
and how long until i cant kiss anyone after getting it pierced?

dont get your tounge pireced..that is soooo 1998.......haha...but if your need to prove that you are cool to your friends...it hurts most people a lot.....it takes about a week to heal and all the swealing to go down...i woulnt kiss anyone for at least a week cause of their nasty mouth germs...you could get an infection...

I've known several to pass out from it, but many say it doesn't hurt immediately. Now, I don't know if that's because it doesn't, or because they don't want to admit it.
Kissing? So long as you're not playing tonsil hockey, you should be fine immediately. Now, eating, that's a different matter. Nothing salty or sour for at least two weeks, I'd think. Rinse all the time with mouthwash. Eat nothing that's hard to chew, 'cause your tongue moves the food around your mouth, and that would seriously hurt. I've also heard not to drink with a straw while it's healing. Like getting a tooth pulled, it can do BAD things.
Of course, I wouldn't have it done at all. You constantly knock it against your teeth, you sound like your mouth is full of peanut butter, and the ball can come off and you can swallow the whole bloody thing! What's the point of having a metal rod through your tongue, anyway?

I think you put this in the wrong category but since it is here.
I got my toungue pierced about 6 years ago. It didn't hurt when it was first done. The next day it swelled up about twice the size and thats when it started hurting. It takes about 2-3 weeks to get used to it. About 1-2 weeks before the swelling goes down. As far kissing wait until the swelling goes down.
Dont forget to use lots and lots of mouth wash. If you dont food, germs, smoking, etc...will make it get infected.

And just what does tongue piercings have to do with Religion and Spirituality?? Can't help you with the tongue piercings question, never had it done. Sounds painful and disgusting to me.

I don't know exactly, but I've heard that they hurt a lot. I mean, your tongue is a muscle, you're piercing muscle tissue, not just skin.
