This is because when you masturbate you are fantasizing and fantasies, by definition, are things that you don't regularly do in real life. This may also be because "kinky dirty things" may be embarassing to ask your partner for in real life so you are depriving yourself from them and masturbating allows you to satisfy that deprivation. I think that this is wny people really like cyber sex and phone sex because they can explore fantasies with people who they will never know or meet so they do not risk potential embarassment.
