I saw a psychologist because of depression and social anxiety disorder. I should be going now to see a counselor, but can't afford it. Really, it takes a very strong person to admit that they need help and to get out of a situition which, while maybe not entirely comforatable, is what you are used to, and therefore has comfort in it. You are not weak because you want help and are getting it: people are weak who want help and don't get it.

I have paid for the help of a psychologist many times in my life. I am not a weak person. Neither are you. If you have a problem seeing, you go to the optometrist. Same thing. Doesn't mean you have weak eyes, it means your eyes need a little help to work 100%. Think of your mental health like you would your blood system or skeleton. It's essential, you'd do what you have to to keep it in working order or 100%, right? Keep seeing your Psychologist. Get through those issues. Have a happy life. May Good bless.

Going to see a psychologist doesn't make u a weak person. In fact it makes u a smart person because u realize that u have problems and need outside help. Most people will not admit to that and they are the ones that are weak. Good luck.

I see mine every week also and I am not weak at all. Some people just need it. I am very successfully in life due to the fact that I have a safe, reliable and non judgmental place to express anything that is an issue in my life. People will tell you it is a waste of time and money but if it makes you feel better and helps you succeed in life then it is worth the expense. "What does not kill you will only make you stronger"

I've just finished seeing a Psychologist for 12 weeks and it doesn't make you a weak person just because you see one. Mind you talking to some one who has no opinion of you is to me relaxing. I didn't feel judged, l was able to say exactly how l feel no matter how vulgar my language became. She listened and even has suggestions..She tried CBT, (Cogniative Behavioural Therapy), but with my negiativity at an all time low l didn't feel like it was of any help to me... In the end she wrote to my GP and suggested l see a Psychiatrist on a weekly basis. I've yet to be referred to one. I still feel confused and angry about everything in my life. Maybe they can help u....? You can only give it a go. If it doesn't work, speak to someone else.

I've been to one before but you have to be determined to help yourself too. If you go in there and aren't truthful to the psychologist, then they really can't fully help you. All they have to work off of is what you're telling them. You have to want to change. And no, you are not weak for doing this. Sometimes you need a little professional help to sort out your problems.

No, i haven't gone to a Psychologists at all, but you know what there is nothing wrong with going, because you need some kind of balance in your life and if this is what is helping you with your life problems well good for you! To be honest we all need someone to talk to, and sometimes I feel as if i need to go see a psychologist! But you know what i got a question for you, do you go to church? Having some kind of spiritual grounding also helps, because that is what is helping me! But yeah i hope everything works out for you!

NO you are not a weak person just because you go. I go also. I see a counselor every week and i must say I love going. She listens and she tells me things that make me think. I used to have a best friend i talk to about everything but she is no longer around for me to talk to. This counselor helped me a while lot and i am sure she will in the future. She also helped solve a whole lot of problems in my husbands life by telling him things he could do. And we followed her advice and she was right. SO I GO EVERY WEEK I AM NOT A WEAK PERSON NEITHER ARE YOU.You are very smart by going and not trying to keep it all in you. My Aunt kept everything in her and she died very young and they say she died because of that. So go and talk to your Counselor and dont worry about what anyone would think or would say. Live your Life. Good Luck

No, sometimes you just need some support and help. It does not make you weak. I go to one. And I never thought of myself as weak. It can actually be a strength sometimes, you have views that many other people might not see because you have somsone you see and talk to every week. It's not a weakness at all.

I go every week myself. I think it's healthy to have that outside source to help us through some tough times. I would rather talk to my therapist than be in the hospital. I don't know anyone that handles their own problems. If this happens, it makes me think maybe they are disfunctional as well.
