I think you are saying your only choice is the guest account?
If so, try pressing CTRL-ALT-DELETE twice and see if that gives you the choice for the big admin account. If not boot in to safe mode and create another admin account and just use it.

You can do a couple things:
Reinstall XP
Use ERD Commander to get into the PC and log on
Try logging on as guest, then go to control panel/user accounts and see if you can give the guest account admin rights or setup an admin account from here.
Are you running XP Home or Professional Addition?

Restart your computer in safe mode by hitting f8 and the hidden admin account will be available. Then go to the control panel.. Start>Settings>Control Panel and go to the user accounts icon and create a new account for yourself. then restart to get out of safe mode.
