is it normal to have two menstrual cycles withing 2 weeks of the last menstrual cycle in a month. Its not heavy, and the color of it is brown.

It's not really normal, but I've had that several times. There might be some leftover blood that didn't come out with your period and it turns brown when it comes out because it is old blood. If it happens a few times within a few months, then see your dr, as there might be something going on in there.

I would probably have to agree with the first answer. I used to get two periods a month while I was exclusively breastfeeding!! Normally women don't get a period when they are exclusively breastfeeding. This just goes to prove that anything can happen at anytime. If this persists though I would mention it to your doctor. There can be a number of different issues.

yes if you are on birthcontrol. i had 2 periods last month and this month

brown means old blood, probably you didn't expell all the stuff during your last period.
