ummm...most people just throw them in the washing machine (use a good detergent) on a nice hot wash to kill germs and then hang them out to dry...or, if you had something gross like typhoid...i would just throw them out and buy new...in addition, please make sure you use pillow cases and that they are clean as well...a good rule of thumb for bedding is to change all sheets and pillow cases once a week...

There are a few things that you can do. Depending on the pillow, you can wash it in the washer or take it to the dry cleaner. I would leave the pillow out in the sun all day and then purchase a zippered pillow protector and after washing that put the pillow in it. That way you just have to wash the protector and your pillow stays clean. You can also replace the pillow, which ought to be done every couple of years anyway. You can also try putting the pillow in the dryer for about half an hour - this will help take out any surface debris that could be irritating your face.
I think that you should try switching detergents for your pillow cases and sheets and wash your coverlet (comforter, quilt).

You could wash it, in a large front loading washing machine, with hot water and bleach or you could spray Lysol on it (spray until damp and then let dry before use). However, simply buying a new pillow would be much easier, as well as guaranteeing a germ free pillow (at least to start).

Check the care label first!
Chlorine bleach is a disinfectant (read the label on that and DON'T USE TOO MUCH!); if you can, hang your pillowcases/pillow outside in direct sunlight. If you can't do that, put them in a plastic bag and leave them in your freezer for 24 hours.
You can get new pillows on sale at places like Target for $7-10.

Honestly, I would throw it out and purchase a new one that you KNOW is clean. Also, buy a plastic pillow protector so when you change the pillow case, it can just be wiped down with a disinfectant.

Wash it in hot soapy water, rinse well. Let it dry in the sun. Buy another pillow and toss you old pillow. Pillows need to be replace once in awhile anyway.

Dont bother about that pillow, Get a new pillow,
If you try to save money and use it after washing it, you are inviting trouble. Your pillow is heaven for bugs,
So chuck it out.

you should probably throw it out and get a new pillow- but if that is not reasonable I would wash it in bleach, hang it out to dry and when it is 100% completely dry, seal it in an airtight plastic bag for a week. If that doesn't do it, get a new pillow!
