Lets answer one at a time shall we: "Will they ever modernise?"
If you by modernising their women need to take off their hijab and walk around half naked?!! Then I guess not!! Allah ordered their women to cover up out of respect for them!! So men that only think of sex and get turned on by a female puppy won't view them as sex objects and try to view them as a human being i.e equality!!! If you mean by modernise they need to open strip joints and brothels?!! Then again I’m guessing they won't and again out of respect for their women, see Muslims don't believe men should have the leisure to go and pay for sex or get a lap dance by a hottie nor does Islam believe its fair for women to be disrespected by getting naked and performing sexual activities on men for a living. If you men by modernising the need to open clubs, pubs and casino's?!! Then I guess not my friend!! god humans brains so they can use them not get wasted and lose them. I hope this answered your first question.

As for the second question if honestly don't know where you got that!! Even your media hasn't tried to feed you with this story, cause I think it new it wouldn't sell!!! My friend if you call 12 y/o kids throwing rocks at tanks back stabbing, if you call resistance movements that have had their countries invaded, have no money (cause the U.S placed economic sanctions) have no weapons (Cause the US placed military sanctions) and still manages to face the powers of planet, still manages to kidnap & kill soldiers, still manages to force these powers to retreat and sign cease fire agreements!! If you call these movements backstabbers?!! Then I think you don't know what the word means!!

Back stabbing my friend is when you send inspectors into a country (Iraq) for ten years, to clear it from every single rocket it has!! Then invade it with 150, 000 soldiers, tanks, jet fighters, armoured viceless, helicopters; war ships, fighting against people with AK-47's and faith.

Well I'm not sure about the backstabbing because that is not Islamically moral or correct.

As for modernizing, the Holy Qur'aan and the way of life of the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) lays a guiding principle and foundation for how to live day to day and how to interact with God and then His Creation.

Islam is the most modern religion through science (all kinds of sciences) - you just have to study it to realize that a lot of discoveries today had already been made 1,4oo years ago.

As for what stays is the way in which we worship. When Allah sent the best of Prophets to the best of mankind, then they are our role models in faith. It doesn't mean we dress/do everything verbatim as they did (unless of course it is of benefit today.) We are to exemplify ourselves as Muslims by trying to immitate their perfect mannerisms, as well as beautiful characters.

Yes, a lot of things are still the same in day to day life too (how we sleep, how we eat, how we use the restroom, then how we pray, fast, give charity, perform Hajj, etc.) The way that we dress is a small issue in comparison to the fact that we never ever forget there is only ONE God! And with that comes everything.

Well, not sure about back stabbing and what you mean by it. They back stab themselves (fellow Muslims) a lot more than others.
About it being modernize, It's sort of impossible at this point, because they still live by their 1400 yrs old "interpretation" of their holy book and plus some ancient stories called "traditions of Muhammad" or Hadiths. Not realizing that when God says" Quran is for all times, it means that they need to update interpretation in order to fit the life styles! for example, All the war verses are still translate assuming "swords" are used!!! Also they need to realize that traditions of Muhammad are all man-made and fabricated!
And then the most important part of the message comes which is "living by the rules of righteousness." Not just recite and memorize!
So God knows really. It's quite frustrating having to deal with them!

Back stab is prohibited in Islam and considered a major sin as the holy verse above indicates so stop your unjust ignorant bashing of Islam. They themselves should and their next generation should go to school and have better education
Quran has not changed but it should change and teach muslims to accomadate others.
Quran should make it clear who is the successor of Nabi. At least let them not kill each other(Why blame Bush: They must have killed themselves more than Bush did).
