You're a little confused.
God loves his created beings, -mainly humans.
God is love and just.
Truely repenting is like a tiger changing his stripes. For a murder to not be a murderer in his heart is true repentence, - and very rare.
Only the sick think they need a doctor. All the others are sick and think they don't need a doctor.
If I was anybody... I'd be a Christian too.

An excellent question and some excellent points raised. Going to jail is a good way to become a religious believer.
Quite a few violent criminals on death-row seem to suddenly find God (surprise, surprise) so going to jail seems to be a good way to become a religious believer. No wonder so many religious people are violent.
Mind you, the Bible itself sets the standard for evil behaviour. The Bible is trash.
The Bible is the biggest load of garbage and codswallop ever written by man, and I’m sure it will go down in history as the greatest load of gobbledygook ever to inflict such traumatic mental and physical damage on humanity, but still today, some people sadly believe the Bible to be true. That’s very sad indeed. Very sad.
When people quote various passages from the Bible, for example ...
Mathew 5:29-30 God encouraged self-mutilation.
Isaiah 13:15-18 God allowed women raped and little children slaughtered.
Genesis 6:11-17 and 7:11-24 God is the greatest mass murder in history.
What happens? Religious people pop up from under every stone with the same old garbage. “That was the old Bible, or we’ve changed the meaning, or wrong interpretation, or we’ve changed the context, or the quotes are out of context or or or, excuse after excuse.”
The fact is, they are Bible quotes, and the Bible is full of evil atrocities which religious people continually cover up, yet seem happy to drum into the minds of gullible little children. This is such a shameful disgrace in a civilised world.
If religious people are unable to apply commonsense and logic to develop a simple moral code to live by, then perhaps they could strip out of the Bible the evil, murders, rapes, abuse, and all traumatic references. Granted there will not be a lot left to read, but at least religious people may end up with a decent moral code to follow based on good, and not scare the living daylights out of innocent little children.

The difference between criminals and others is this: They KNOW that they are sinners, and need to be redeemed. They have been condemned by the world. When a person is sentenced to jail or prison, they are well motivated to hear and understand the Gospel.
Unlike the "normal" person who doesn't understand that they deserve the same punishment from God that the criminal does, the convict is well aware of his sins.
Naturally, not every convict converts. And not every convict conversion is genuine. But having seen the fellowship and brotherhood of believers in prisons, I know that those who are genuinely converted have a genuine testimony, and their lives reflect that change.
By the way, most criminals are not Christians. I have found that 10-15% of any prison yard has Christian believers. Hardly a definition of "most."

The whole point of repent is that you have to be truly sorry for what you've done and promise not to do it again. If you rape 100 people, or commit a thousand murders, you obviously weren't sorry from the bottom of your heart and Jesus knows if you mean your promise. You can't just say sorry a million times, but keep sinning. That's not what being a Christian is about.

Most people who are in the prison system admit to being religious, it helps them get paroled. They say they were religious before, but it seems religion only comes into play when it time for the parole board. Of course, if they claim to be buddists, they get fresh fruit and veggies, so buddism is growing a bit, but the no meat part is a draw back.
There's a difference in how many people are christians and how many people pretend to be christian. Like you've been told, its not a free pass, you don't keep getting forgiven for committing crimes over and over, the point is to "go and sin no more", meaning you can't just keep on doing it. But hey, if you're trying to be a hatemonger by insulting christians, again, go for it, hope it makes you feel good to twist things around to better suit your drivel.

Christianity is a good deal for everybody.
Nobody is perfect, everybody sins.
God loves everyone, that's why he revealed himself as Jesus in the form of a man to die and rise again and give all of us sinners a loophole to get into heaven.
It's by God's grace alone that we will ever see the kingdom of heaven because noone is worthy enough to get in on his/her own merits.

Salvation does not depend on what you or what you have done. It depends on what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you. He died for your sins. He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
The Lord Jesus Christ can forgive all sins.

I think it is awesome for the people who find God, no matter what they have done while here on earth. It's not our place to worry about it, or judge criminals for things they do. It is between God and them.
