no. Most likely your abdomen is pushed out due to gas which is very common. Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.

This is my 4th pregnancy. I'm 4 weeks and I'm showing. I'm a lot bigger then when I just bloat from a period. My pants won't even button up. I've also been told by my sister that as soon as your pregnant after you have had previous kids your body jump starts and knows what to do. I believe it's your body's way of getting into baby mode and this happens with the more kids you have. Just like the milk. You get it sooner and sooner as you have more kids. Yes some of this is due to bloating. But not much :)

This is my first pregnancy and I am showing a little already and I am almost 15 weeks. I went for my first ultrasound when I was 5 weeks 4 days pregnant and I was able to see and hear the heartbeat of our baby. But, it is different for everyone and all babies and mommies grow differently :)

No, the baby does not develop this early. The baby grows as the months go on. The baby usually won't start showing until the second trimester (4-6 months).

I would tell you that many women start to show when they are in their 14th week of pregnancy but some start showing earlier, it all depends. When you are in your 3 to 4 week the fetus is just beginning to develop and it gradually becomes larger and that is when you show. I hope this helps you and congratulations on your pregnancy.

Depending on your size yes if your a thin built person you can see a little bump in the belly size of a fist the real fun is when it looks like you swallowed the great pumpkin around 6 to 8 mths.
