You act as if religion were part of our government since its existance. The pilgrims, if you can recall, came to escape a government where religion had too much of an influence. Besides, America is based on diversity. How can we have diversity if only 1 religious culture is acceptable? (Not to mention choosing which religion's views to accept.) Also, the early Americans were surprisingly unreligious. There was a rise in religion during the Great Awakening, but secularism was still valued more.
I fail to see what the moon-landing has to do with religion. That event was based on science alone. I don't see what it has to do with religious ideas, church, God, the Bible, etc.

God was not only left out of the constitution, she was strictly prohibited.
I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My
idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own,
so both of them together is certain death.
oh I just reread the "if god is so bad in schools how did we send men to the moon and all tjhe other things we can't live without " part and I just can't make sense of that one.

Did we not found this country with a certain seperation of "Church and State"? One is still allowed to pray to God in school, but they cannot lead manditory prayer in school because it may be disturbing to children of other religons, and, America was founded on Religious freedom as well (Which should allow you to freely pray and do what you will in school, it seems alittle hypocritical, maybe i`m not clear myself). In order to allow religion in School and Government, i think it would have to be a universal religion that no citizen had any qualms about.

Step one is the elimination of the government from the equation of everyday life. Then you can run your community schools however you see fit. Unfortunately, that's darn near a pipe dream.
So in light of that, if you want to include God in government schools, your first step is actually to prove there is such a thing as God. Good luck.

You're right.
Let's all start praying to Vishnu, and Allah.
Ohh wait,... that's probably not what you wanted, is it?
That is the REASON America has and remains secular.
The fact that you equate state sponsered religion and prayer in school to our success at space exploration pretty much proves how crappy your education must have been. And if you think school prayer would somehow improve your understanding of math, physics, chemistry, etc..., well, I don't think I need to point out the obvious.

Just because there's no Christian-like prayers in school doesn't mean that God is an absentee. If God is that small as your whinning implies, then he deserves to be shown the exit door. However, the God that Jesus Christ came to reveal is present right there, whenever civil rights are upheld and state religion is shunned.

i do no longer believe faith ought to earnings in public colleges, even with the undeniable fact that, there is not any reason that the Pledge of Allegiance should be disregarded or that coaching heritage the way it became should be edited. the problem is, once you commence taking the God reference out of how this united states became depending, you've unavoidably reduce out a tremendous bite of heritage. i imagine absolutely everyone needs to enhance up and end making heritage p.c.. basically so someone isnt indignant. heritage is what that is...we gained't replace it. we can basically replace the destiny.

God was never in our schools or government. Hence the word secular.
No one has taken God out of your life, however. He's still there, even when you go to school or to a government office.
