If I'm interpreting your question correctly, you've reinstalled windows several times? If so, it's totally unnecessary. Get PCs for Dummies by Dan Gookin, he gives you the lowdown on windows.

Microsoft will then give you a toll free number from a webpage which enables them to assign you a new validation number.
