I have many of the side effects of steroids (which I can live with) but wonder how taking .5 cc of testosterone every 2 weeks compares with steroid use and is it detectable.

Testosterone IS an anabolic steroid. Yes it is detectable. Why are you taking it? You need a physician to take care of your medical situation and stop self-medicating.

If you continue to take external testosterone (a steroid), your body will go through a process called "masculinization" meaning your body will slowly change into the body of a man. Your breasts will shrink, your clit will grow larger and your will develop a beard and more body hairs (besides you thyroid cartilage: "Adam's apple" becoming larger). Please see a Doc!!

Since your Avatar has a female name and pic, Iwould hope that your doctor told you that Testosterone can kill a baby if you were to get pregnant. My husband has to be on Testosterone injections due to his levels being to low, and at first he was on the cream, but I was told that if I accidently got any of it on me while pregnant it can harm/kill/disfigure the baby.
