1) Stop worrying.
Just stay cool and calm. There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. Make lots of new friends. Friendships come naturally so in a few months you will be like "How da fook did I meet all these people?!?"
Everyone in your class is in the same boat so there is nothing to worry about.
2) Don't be a loner
Make friends, be social. You should have no problems then. Stick with friends.
3) Stop worrying
4) Don't look like you are lost
Study the school map. Just know where your classes are, what room numbers. If you get lost just ask someone. People WILL help. Nothing's wrong with that. It's not shameful. Everyone older than you knows how it feels like in your shoes and your freshmen classmates all feel the same.
5) Stop worrying
6) Blend into the crowd.
7) But be an individual at the same time. Just do your stuff. Be cool and you won't have to worry about anything.
8) The workload will be greater than elementary but teachers will gradually prepare you for more and more work so no worries there.

High school only seems tough in the beginning. you will make it through tho, dont worry. And don't worry about the popular croud...i just graduated last year and my friends and i figured out why we call them "popular." It's because they all think that they are better than everyone else and there's more of them than there are the modest people, therefore they become the popular crowd becuase they are the majority. If they pick on you, just keep walking and ignore it. people who pick on others grow up to be losers anyways so don't let them bring you down. you will be so much better than them. and as far as getting pressured into stuff that you dont want to do, just say no. if they are your friends they will understand. if they don't, then they aren't your true friends. i know that sounds cliche, but it's really true. i've told my friends no to stuff and they accepted it. your peers should too. well im done rambling lol. but really you will be fine. high school is the best time ever, so make the most out of it!! good luck!!

Even if you were picked on by the popular crowd in middle school, it should be better in high school since high school kids are a bit more mature. As for getting pressured about drugs, I think that's mostly an urban legend that they feed you in D.A.R.E.. Sure, there will be plenty of kids who do drugs, but you can either avoid them or simply turn down invites to (say) get high behind the gym by saying, "No, thanks, I'm not into that," and they'll simply say "cool."
My best advice for surviving HS is to get involved in one or more extra-curricular activities. If you do that, I assure you that the four years will fly by and you'll be the typical graduating senior who will be crying that it all ended too soon. Seriously, join a club, sport or music ensemble.

I'm not in high school, but I did go to high school back in the dark ages. Just remember that millions of people have survived high school, and they're not special or brilliant. It's not as hard as you may fear.
Just remember:
1. Be yourself. Never try to be what you think others will like. They will see right through you anyway and call you a poser.
2. Peer pressure isn't like they make it seem on TV. People aren't going to tease you or attack you if you don't do drugs and drink. You can just say, "No thanks, I don't do that," or "I don't feel like it," and nobody will think less of you. In fact, they'll probably respect you more. And if you don't like being around people who are doing those things, then hang out with people who don't do them.
3. Sometimes getting picked on is part of life. But it only matters if you let it get to you. In high school, I used to do my own thing. Nobody could tease me, because I wasn't trying to impress them. In other words, if someone said, "You are so weird!" I would say, "Thanks!" When I learned to be confident, I found that I had many admirers. People like you and respect you when you like and respect yourself.

well first thing is not to look lost then they will know your a freshmen. (learn the layout of the school ahead of time asking for directions is a pure sign of fresh noobieness)
2. hangout in groups. if you already know people who are there or is going in with you hang out with them look like your already established so no one will mess with you.
3. never sit in the front role try for second last role this will make you stick out less.
4. get a GF or a BF if your a girl. asap.
also watch what you say because HS has a different lingo then middle school.

Do your own thing and trust yourself.
Morons come in all ages, why would their judgement mean more than yours they are just in a differerent school year. Intelligence is more than just passing 11th grade, Some of the people you thought were so smart in high school maybe just peaked early and later in life you will exceed them by unimaginable distances.
