Good night clubs in korea?

Question

I'm visiting korea in September. and I heard they have great clubs in Seoul. Any recommendations? Is it expensive ?

I'm 27 yrs old and people told me some clubs are only for really really young crowds ..like 21,22 year olds

Yeah, Hong Dae is the best place... it's predominantly overrun with University students, but I wouldnt really say it's only for 21-22year olds, as most young guys are in the Army at that age... so don't go out until they get back (drinking age in Korea starts at 20)...

At the end of the month in Hong Dae they have 'club night' where you pay a set price, and get access to a whole heap of clubs.
There are other clubs like club FF that have special nights where you can pay 20,000won and get free cocktails all night.

Most places are between 10-20,000won and include one drink on entry.

The clubs don't really start 'happening' till after midnight. After the last subway finishes, and start dying down again when the first subway starts (5.30)... before that you can hang out in one of the numerous bars or just drink out on the street with thousands of others.

There is a usuful iphone app that you can download the off-line maps of these club areas. Hongdae is one of the hottest spots in Seoul. There you'll find everything from jazz to hip hop. It depends on what kind of "night club" you are looking for.
