Time apart isn't always bad. After the time apart and you two still love eachother, then it was meant to be. If during that time either of you date, then neither of you loved eachother enough to wait!

If you love him and still want him to come back to you, then trust him. Continue living with the assumption that once he's ready, he will call you up.
I don't believe that would happen, but that's because I wouldn't be able to do it. But on the other hand, i wouldn't have let any kind of career stand between me and the woman I love.
If he loves you, then he will call you when he's ready. All you need is some patience.
Good luck :)

In my experience, "I need some time" has always been precursor to a breakup...anyone who needs time can get it without totally disassociating themselves from the person they claim to care about and love...
If you were married, would you be kewl if he moved out for a month or two to "focus"? If he can't handle all the facets of his life, perhaps he shouldn't be dating...

What a joke. Tell him, in person not a letter, that the only way you will accept this "time off" will be if he agrees to not be with any other women. Personally, I think he just wants to fool around.

I say just let it be. If you are that dead set on writing to him on or around your one year anniversary then keep it short, sweet, and to the point. Tell him you know he needs to focus and you don't want to take that away from him but, you just wanted to let him know that you're thinking about him and that you love him. Always remember K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)
That usually helps me out in many different situations. Let me know how this works out!!

First, you don't want to wait for love because trust me, love does come back if it is meant to be for you. Maybe it is a time in your life where you got to see where you want to be in life. Is it truly with him? If it is, then he will come back. Don't wait but continue to love and support his decision. if you do meet someone else, just remind them that you are in love currently but you don't put love on preservation at all.

career comes before anything else. Maybe you should rearrange your priorities too. I wonder how he would feel then.
Sounds like hes trying to blow you off. Look elsewhere, lifes short and you should be happy not waiting around for him.
