I feel when you are married and financially stable. that way the baby will have both parents and both parents will have a way to make sure the baby has everything he needs.

I think the best reason to have a child is the tax incentives you get in April when you file your taxes.
The other good reason is that you only have to put up with them for 18 years and then you get to kick them out.
The last reason is that despite some of the absolute misery they can bring into your life (and frustration) they are so much fun to be around. They have a way of looking at situations and things that opens you up. They remind you of the inner child in all of us that longs to be loved and needed and wanted. They play. They remind me and I hope everyone that our bodies are meant to be in motion.
And they look so cute with their fat buddha bellies. I just love kissing and hugging babies. Oh and it helps that the first years they are still coated with just a bit of the baby stuff to entice you into forgiving them for all the hell they put you through. You know with the belief that any thing on the ground is just as good in your mouth. Their belief that all sockets and sharp objects are friends...that stuff.

For me bearing and raising children is a very religious thing. Working with God to create and bring life to His spirit children. And then being the one to teach and instruct them for the beginning of their life, to make the best choices and decisions they can in life, so they can be good people and make it back to live with Him in heaven once again. And in my own selfishness, it's nice to have someone depending on you every day, having my kids gives me a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I also think it will be great to try and give my kids a better childhood and teenage life then I had growing up.

For me it's about teaching them and sharing experiences with them. I love taking them to the places that I went to when I was little and reliving those moments with my family...and showing them places for the first time like Disney world..... the anticipation of christmas and family traditions......

Too right it's not.
Looking back to before my child was born, it was a fairly empty existence.
