I live in Florida and my ex is currently $7,000.00 PLUS over due and has not paid in more than a year! The state of Florida keeps giving me excuse after excuse and it's so exhausting... There is a Florida State Statute that say's once a father has not paid in over 1-year, or is owing over $4,000.00, or has been found in contempt on more than two occassions that this is a 3rd degree felony punishable by law. Yet child support doesn't really understand it so they don't really know how to enforce it. So, I am going to enforce it on my own and I am also starting a community for other parents in my situation at www.storkchat.com - you can see the link below for Florida . I am willing to post any other states and info. to help other people in the same situation. Also, thought about making a Wanted List of past due deadbeats. So, what is everyone's opinion on this issue? Do you know anyone going through the same issues and do you have any suggestions? Please let me hear from you :-)

i am in the same boat
my daughter was over a year old before i could get in to see someone at the child support office. now my daughter is 18 months. He has made 2 payments...one was $100 short and the other was $150 short. i am in a really tight spot. i am single mom, no education (which his fault, he told me he was going to take care of us and that i needed to stay home with our child only to have leave). I had to call the child support office and let them know he hasnt paid and they said, "well, i guess we can send him a notice that we will be revoking his license if he doesnt pay." well does me absoluetly no good. if he doesnt have a license how is he going to get to and from a job should he ever get one? that is not helping to support my daughter who deserves so much more than what she's getting. i would love to see your website and give any advice i can to help anyone else. and i think it is awesome you are taking the initiative to do something about this. it is a huge problem in today's society. dead beat fathers! and they always want to blame the single mother..."you should have known" and such comments...well how about reaming the fathers a new one cuz he's the one that left and refuses to take care of whats his. keep in touch!

DSHS employees are a joke. I tracked down (5) deadbeats, and I didn't see a dime of reward money. Where's the incentive to track down deadbeats?

Santa Rosa County Crime Stoppers needs your help! The following individuals are listed as deadbeat parents. If you know the whereabouts of any of the individuals listed here, please call 437-STOP or click the "Report Info" button under the individual that you have information regarding. Follow the instructions on the subsequent page. We appreciate your help in tracking down these deadbeat parents. http://www.srccs.com/index.cfm?webid=8

YES MY SISTER IS OWED OVER 30,000 IN BACK CHILD SUPPORT. HE'S GONE TO JAIL A COUPLE TIMES HE WILL PAY A LITTLE, THEN BACK TO THE SAME THING. HE WAS ON THE LIST FOR TOP 10 DEADBEAT PARENTS IN AZ. AND STILL SHE MAY GET A CHECK HERE OR THERE. BUT NOTHING CONSISTENT. 16YRS ALMOST 17 AND SHES DONE MOST ON HER OWN AS A SINGLE MOM. I THINK WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS GREAT. GOOD LUCK TO YOU. OH YEAH SHE FINDS OUT MORE ON HER OWN THEN THE STATE DOES AND SHE CALLS THEM WITH ANY INFO SHE GETS.

I would hire a good lawyer. I hope they do something because I am about to move there and if my kid's father doesn't pay child support I want to know that I can get him for it. But get a good family law attorney. The state can flip his taxes and what that means is that when he files taxes it will pop up on the computer that he is in arrears for child support and if your not on assistance his taxes will come to you.

I live in Virginia , i know several women going through the same thing one of them goes to court every 3 month. they keep threatening him with jail but never do anything with him . He is now over 5,000 behind and my friend is about to lose her home because she can't do it all by herself. So good for you if you proceed with the wanted list on a website.
