Yes, I agree. Look at ancient history. For thousands of years, people have been exploring the world, "discovering" new civilizations, and "conquering" them. The best example is probably the Romans. The Roman Empire extended from Northern Africa to the British Isles. If you think there weren't people "mingling" and having children as a result, you are kidding yourself. Not to mention the atrocities of the Crusades and other military campaigns over the centuries. Rape and destruction was the norm (and sometimes still is).

Personally, the majority of my ancestry is from the British Isles. But, there is a little Czech tossed in for good measure.

Unless someone is from a completely isolated culture, I think we would be hard pressed to find anyone on the planet with "pure genes."

Yes. In fact, in this week's TIME magazine there was an article about a woman that submitted her DNA for an ethnic analysis. She was latina and figured she knew what would come up but was surprised when it told her that she had sub-Saharan African and Polish in her!!

I'm not sure how many different cultures are part of my ancestry. I know of: Irish, French, English, German, and Dutch (yep, I'm your basic white euro sort!).
