Haven / British Holidays offer great deals on line & by phone, they do apartments, touring, camping, chalets, lodges and holiday homes, self catering & half board. I have stayed at many resorts all adults & kids enjoyable activties, entertainment, I would suggest a resort called KILN PARK, Tenby, South Wales. You can also get a coach to this resort, safe beach & town centre lies within castle walls, all are within walking distance. Here's a website home:-

You could try renting a cottage somewhere; maybe in Scotland. Some of the Islands wouldn't be too expensive - and there's a vague chance of snow.
Buggering off abroad might be an idea, but that's not going to be cheap.
Alternatively, try descending on a distant relative :-)

Try searching for static caravan holiday parks, they often have children's entertainment and swimming pools, play areas and bars with cabaret for adults. if you share the cost it can work out to be very reasonable.
4 adults and a child stayed for a week in Morecambe for about £90.00 per couple.
