You have a very comfortable kitchen.

Aren't those guys clever though! My Siamese would climb up on a desk and push on the patio door handle enough to move the door open so he could go outside. Then, of course, the other cats would go out too. The Siamese wasn't clever or considerate enough to close the door.

Sounds like your guy has found a perfect nap place. Protected on three sides from anyone interfering with his nap. Dark and cozy, does he sleep in a pot?

Because it's a quiet, dark place where he can sleep during the day and he knows he'll be left alone there. He'll especially feel this way if there are kids in the house.

Our cats get into our floor cabinet whenever we leave it open for too long.

I have a siamese that also likes cabinets and under the sink, go figure i don't even like sticking my hands under there and he spends hours under there. I don't think that it's a special breed thing I think it's a cat thing, call a dog it will come, call a cat and it will decide.

My siamese girl like cabinets too. It's kind of like a kid with a fort - secretive and quiet.

It is quite and dark in the cabinet and he feels safe. Don't worry cats sleep alot.I am sure he stlii loves you. but cats are kinda like men they always think of themselfs first.

My cat does this as well. I believe that it's the cat's way of "hiding" in a secret den/house. He can go in there, be in the dark, not be disturbed, and come out when he's good and ready.

My cat also does this in my closet. It's just normal cat behavior. They can see you, but you can't see them.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

If he's in there all day long then you might want to take him to a Vet to get him checked out, but I know my pet likes to crawl into and under small dark places for the security.

Anytime it starts thundering outside, my dog crawls under the couch, which she can barely fit under, and hides under there until it's "safe" to come out. She does this because, to her, it's safe under there

The tempurature is probably more comfy in there and cats like small dark places to curl up in
