SInce you have tried a lot of remedies, get it checked to see whether you have Psoriasis or something else on your scalp. You will save cash in the long run. Before you get an appointment, stop using all the remedies and just use a Mild shampoo and light conditioner if necessary for a week or two prior to appointment. This way the Dr. can evaluate the condition fairly. The stuff you keep trying may prevent an accurate assessment of your problem.

dandruff is a mild case of an endogenous eczema known as seborrhoeic dermatitis. it is proposed to be caused by a fungus known as Pityrosporum ovale. you need to use an anti fungal shampoo containing ketoconazole twice weekly till it controls the dandruff, then continue using the same once weekly. sometimes steroid containing shampoos may be used briefly to control the inflammation. but, more or else, its a chronic condition, requiring maintenance treatment

If anti-dandruff shampoos like Selsun Blue don't work, you need a prescription anti-fungal medication, but you have to go to a doctor to get it.

Put a couple of drops of Tea Tree oil in shampoo as you use it. Proceed as usual. Try it a couple of times. I think Fruitis shampoo from Gardine (green bottle) has it in their dandruff shampoo.
