was it worth the trade off of being your own man/woman and living by your own schedule and dating all the different and interesting men/women of the world?

Would you do it again?

yes it is... sorta... I'm very happy that I'm married and have two wonderful kids... but it's never "free" that's a pipe dream.... and it costs more if you want to go your seperate ways....

Some guy once told me as a joke... "I don't carry a picture of my wife... I carry a picture of half of my stuff, because if I mess up... that's what I'll end up with..." Even though he was joking I think that's a real great way of thinking about it if you were thinking of cheating.... I know it's off the subject but oh well....

And yes I would do it again. With the same or different woman it doesn't matter...

Yep, I would. With that said, marriage has not always been easy, and I imagine there will be lots more craziness in the future. Life is a lot more complex, and a lot more of a compromise. Same can be said with kids, too. For that matter, its not that different than being in a committed relationship...

I absolutely LOVE being married...I'm more in love with my husband now than I've ever been. We have the most amazing relationship...He's my best friend and satisfies me in EVERY aspect of our relationship. I would never want to go back to meaningless, shallow, temporary, boring date ever again...Why would you want to if you have everything you need? The dating game was fun when I was in high school, but it gets old once you have a 'real' life.

Absolutely, after 16 years still passionately in love.
We are physically adventuresome.
We enjoy hanging out with other people.
We both have someone always on our side no matter what.
And a partner doesn't impede your schedule like work and society

I love being married and I would definitely do it again if I had it to do all over. While you do lose some thing when you marry you also gain much more than you lost.

I am 56 years old and it is my opinion that the institution of marriage is a farce it has become a game ,I was married once and I will never do it again ,its not a game to me.

I am very happy with the man that I have married. I wouldn't want any other life, besides the one that I have now.
