My husband and I love the beach and are looking for baby names that reflect this. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I like the name Maya. Not sure if it's Hawaiian or not but it sounds like it could be. :-) Congrats on the little one!

Here are some others I found that are Hawaiian:

Girls: Halia, Ailani, Iolani,
Boys: Bane, Kai, Akamu

I also think just the name Ocean is cool for a boy or Oceana is pretty for a girl.

Kani means Sandy in hawaiian; Kaki means sky; Lana means calm as still waters; Leia means child of heaven; Kalani means of the Heavens; Kalea means bright; Noelani means beautiful girl from Heaven.

I just did a Yahoo search on "hawaiian baby names" and it gave several sites.

How about Kiluea?

I'd be more inclined to name a girl baby like that than a boy baby, chiefly because kids are ruthless and he'll get into a lot of fights because of the teasing he'll get.
