yes and no. according to congress who wants to cut AF Budgets right now in interest of promoting the fact that the army wants to continue operating above their normal time end strength, the air force is overmanned. however, there are many that feel that the air force is doing okay now and just needs the continued funding of congress. really depends on who you ask.

Yes and no. While the AF is overmanned some career fields are undermanned and in desperate need of people. They tried shifting people into new career fields which worked some, but a lot of people are still being forced out.

According to higher-ups, yes the AF is overmanned. They are still recruiting anyone who wants in though.
