Mine is an italian chicken one.
Take about a half a bag of egg noodles and a pound of chicken thighs.
Put the raw noodles in the bottom of a baking pan. Pour a can of tomatoes (my preference is italian style) over the noodles and add another can of water.
Place the chicken over the top of the noodles.
brush the chicken with olive oil and sprinkle italian seasoning over the oil.
Cover with foil and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and uncover then put back in the oven for another 15 minutes.
Put cheese over the chicken (my favorite is swiss but allmost any cheese will work)
Place back in the oven and let the cheese melt and brown a little and your done.
This is a great way to fix something at the end of a workday that is easy and tasty.

I put this on Yahoo! Answers so many times, hope no one's getting sick of it, but it's my all time favorite and a favorite of my family. It's so yummy!!!
Smothered Chicken
1 chicken, cut up (I use 2 packages of thighs)
1/2 plus 1/3 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup finely chopped brown onion
Wash chicken and pat dry. Combine the 1/2 cup flour, salt, and pepper. Roll chicken in flour mixture to coat. Heat butter in large heavy skillet. Brown chicken on all sides. Place chicken, skin-side up, in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish or roasting pan. Add onion to drippings in skillet; cook until soft. Add 1 1/2 cups water to skillet; bring to a boil. Pour over chicken. Cover tightly with a lid or foil. Bake at 350* for 60 minutes. Remove chicken and keep warm.
Carefully pour liquid from baking dish into skillet used for browning; bring to a boil. Combine the remaining 1/3 cup flour with 1 cup water; mix until smooth. Add to hot liquid. Cook, stirring constantly until gravy thickens. Taste for seasoning. Makes 4 servings (more if you use the chicken thighs).
TIP: Gravy is delicious served over rice or mashed potatoes.

Best Ever German Chocolate Cake & Pecan-Coconut Frosting
This is the classic from the back of the Baker’s German Chocolate package, and it simply cannot be improved upon. It is divine, and much loved by all every time I make it.
4 ounces Baker's German Sweet Chocolate
1/2 cup boiling water
1-3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs, separated
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans, then line them with waxed paper, cut to fit. Grease and flour the waxed paper or spray with Bakers Joy. Redundant, but necessary.
Melt the chocolate in boiling water. Set aside.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form; refrigerate.
In the large bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar, allowing mixer to run for 5 minutes. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Let mixer run an additional 2 minutes. With mixer running, add vanilla and chocolate/water mixture.
Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, combining well. Gently fold stiffly beaten egg whites into cake batter.
Pour batter into three prepared cake pans. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool on racks. Frost tops only and fill between layers with Coconut-Pecan Frosting.
Coconut-Pecan Frosting
1-1/2 cups evaporated milk
1-1/3 cups sugar
4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3/4 cup butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups shredded coconut
1-1/2 cups chopped pecans
Combine the evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened, about 12 to 15 minutes. Add coconut and chopped pecans. Cool until thick enough to spread, beating occasionally. Makes about 3 cups of frosting.

Elephant Stew
1 medium elephant
2 rabbits(optional)
McCormic Pepper
Preparation: Four Weeks
No. of servings: 3,800
Cut elephant into small bite-size pieces and add enough brown gravy to cover. Cook over Kerosene fire about 4 weeks @ 465
This will serve 3,800 people. If more are expected, two rabbits may be added, but do this only in an emergency- as most people do not like hare in their stew.
I found this in one of my recipe boxes, please don't take offense, we all need a laugh once in a while.

It's called Shepherds Pie. Get any size deep dish baking pan, depending on how much you want to make)
It's a layer of hamburger meat (browned, about 2 lbs)
A layer of instant or hand mashed potatoes(add any spices you wish)
And a layer of mild cheddar cheese (1lb block, sliced and lay on top, cover entire dish)
Put in the oven on broil until cheese is melted.
(You can always add a layer of corn, or green beans)
Voila!!! Easy, quick dish that feeds the whole family!
