Wow.... What a great question.. I can truely say I have never thought of tipping my coroner... I know I tip the paper boy. beauty operator and waitress.. But Coroner? Well, I guess you can tip him when you are dead... Of course, he would not get the tip, would he? Ok... I am just stumped on this question .. Good one..You know, when I pass a cemetery I think, wow.. people are just dying to go there ... and I know the Coroner played a part in that.. So I guess I just give up... Have a great day and be alive and well for many years to come..

Its not ethical or legal for a medical examiner or cororner to accept tips. A tip may be mistaken for a bribe at some point so they just don't accept. A nice letter thanking them for a job well done would be appropriate. A plant to the whole department may also be acceptable.

Every time he does a good job. Wouldn't want to spoil him by giving him free tips all the time or hurt him by giving no recognition by giving him none.

Every time you provide them with a homicide victim and they rule it "Death by natural causes". I think 15% of the contract price is fair.
