Yes. It most commonly occurs because of a condition called hyperprolactinemia, where too much of the hormone that causes the breasts to produce milk is released into the bloodstream. It can happen in men as well as women. It is most commonly caused by prescription drugs, tumors of (or near) the pituitary gland, hypothyroidism or massive alcohol use over time (not likely in a young adult).

no, and woman who are pregnant don't either. They have what is called colostrum, which is a pre-milk substance full of immunities and nutrition. It's not breast milk.

I suppose you could do it with the help of a drug or something, but naturally, I don't think so.

Well, a friend of mine's sister adopted a baby. She wanted to breastfeed the baby so she took herbal supplements to induce her milk. So, it might be possible.

A woman can induce lactation if she wants. It's not easy to do, but some adoptive mothers do it.
