You really need to have her looked at. It could be a corneal ulcer that needs treatment. It could also be clamydia. Make an appt at the vets. Especially since she is squinting. Does she go outside? Could she have been in a fight? Do NOT put anything in the eye. If she has an abrasion and you put the wrong drops in there you can ulcerate the eye.

A quick way to check if your kitten can or can not see out of that eye is to hold her head in one hand and using the other hand move it quickly towards her eye (as though you were going to hit her but don't actually hit her!) If she has any sort of reflex, blinks or pulls her head away, then she still has some sight in that eye. If she doesn't react at all then she either has no or very little vision. I'd take her to your vet either way because even if she can still see, her vision could be fading or she may have an infection that will make things worse. Cats that are blind can still have a relatively normal life, indoors of course. Their other senses are so much more acute than ours so they are able to get around fairly well without sight. Good luck! I hope she's ok!

Yeah i have a thing called Whitle Whiskers and we take care of cats and we had 2 go blind so i think it is...listen carefully please...take it to the vet, they have a surgery where they "suck out" that "fog" (its just behind the membrane at first, so hurry!) u were talkin about and the cat can see. it can be expensive, and we couldnt pay for it so we didnt get to do it. Either way...she'll live if you be careful to watch for an excessive amout of that black gooey stuff around its nose and eyes. Clean around its eyes with a saturated q-tip until u get a vets results about the surgery...if u choose to not have the surgery, she should be fine. If it does happen in both eyes...have her put down. She probably wont make it. If it only happens in one eye, she should be fine!!!

It certainly sounds like something is going on here. I really feel you need to have a vet look at it. Maybe even an animal ophthalmologist if there is one in your area.

Like us, both eyes are needed for depth vision. So if there is blindness in one eye I think the kitty needs to live an indoor life.

Going to the vet would probabay be the best thing to do. In the mean time get in front of her and flick your hand at the eyse you think is bad if she blinks or gives a reaction to it see can still see.

The easiest way is to see your veterinarian for a thorough exam. No one on the internet can diagnose your cat without an exam. If you intervene now, you may be able to save their eye sight.

you need to get her to the vet, she needs medical treatment, she might be getting eye ulcers or something else, bring up if your vet thinks she has feline herpes my herpes cats tend to act like that when a herpes flare up starts.

if it walks into a wall, does not run if a car is about to hit it,
or just go to the vet to see what they say.
