I recommend a ceramic straightener or john frida frizz serum, or something like that. it works good at smoothing hair out.

Rather than trying a new product, try a new method. Blow dry your hair with the air going DOWN. If you hold a piece of hair between two fingers and slide them from your scalp to the ends, it feels smooth right? Well, if you try to go the other way, it feels different. Hair is made of overlapping pieces, if you blow dry down the pieces, they will stay smooth. If you blow dry up, you are forcing the pieces apart which can make your hair look frizzy.
Avoid putting clips, barettes, or pony holders in your hair when it is wet since that will break your hair and give it a frizzy look.
Look for a heat protecting spray, or something silicone based to comb through your hair when still wet.
Lastly, you can always ask your hair stylist to recommend products to get the look she gives you. Most stylists will even try to show you how to do the look yourself.

I have the same problem. If I put mouse in my hair and scunch I can wear it wavy. If I want to go straight I use the Chi Shampoo and Infra treatment with the Chi ceramic straightner.

Just get a good ceramic straightener. It will smooth out the frizz for the whole day.

redken sells great hair products. there's a line of these brown redken bottles (not sure of exact name) and it's just for silkening hair. also, buy a hot iron and don't wash your hair everyday or else your hair will fry from ironing it everyday.
