I totally believe that people have the right to practice any religion they want, but I will admit that I am highly suspicious of any "religion" that segregates their congregation based on economic fortitude. Also, what is the science behind scientology?
If there are any actual scientologists out there ( not the fad believers) I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say.

The Rolling Stone had a good article about Scientology. It's quite long but it's a good read.

Segregate? Im not sure that I follow that.

Heres my take on it. Its self-help and alt-healing practices that were researched by a writer back in the 1950s. Back then to claim any cure you had to be a doctor or a church.

It has courses on communication, better studying, shaking peer pressure, getting off drugs, self confidence, and getting past blocks in your life. Accoridng to the anti-scientology sites most people just take the first couple (cheapest) courses and then move on. Got to admit, thats what I did also. Took one and a half courses back when I was minimum wage. I do think they were great courses and did me alot of good though (Id even say they led me to the early retirement I achieved). I didnt see any of the stuff everyone else seems to "know" about them. :)

Scientology is the most outstanding brainwashing scandal ever.

It was thought up by some Hubbard fella who wanted to make money by starting a cult.
But he designed brainwashing tactics that were so brilliant that, in the end, he himself was brainwashed.

Now, it is literally run by brainwashed masses who believe in a made up religion.
It's the most brilliant scam ever, but, since everybody believes in it, it isn't a scam at all. It's a factually untrue religion that lot's of people believe in.

They believe in UFO's it is also a sect that was started by a couple not too long ago. Just looking at Tom Cruise's behavior should make anyone want to leave that religion. The guy is bizarre aside from having control issues.

go to the "freezone" and ask them. They will be better than people here. They are people who are into scientology but have left the actual scientology church for whatever reason and still do all the stuff. Just type freezone into google.

It's the same as any other religion....make a bunch of unprovable claims and promise them all sorts of rewards LATER, if you'll give them a "small" contribution NOW.....
