Whoa, there. I think it's totally a coincidence, but it sure got you guys going didn't it.

Yes. It is a coincidence. The word God is from an Anglo-Saxon word related to the German "Gott." "Dog" comes from the Anglo-Saxon "docga," meaning hound or mastiff. You may also occupy yourself with the amazing notion that Otto is Otto spelled backwards.

Yes I believe it is coincidence but there can be certain meanings and symbolism found in it. Dog is seen as man's best friend, but then again...so if God...God is the leader, God is man...as for live and evil, well...in everyones lives, as everyone lives...there is evil...they go hand in hand really dont they? There are lots of things that are backwards to each other...thats just the way the english language is played out. I do not believe that God plays a role in that, because that is all things that were developed by scholars and people before us...like i mean...they decided what a dog was..they classified what we know as a dog as a dog..it could have easily been called a cat couldnt it...but no...it was a dog...makes no sense.but hey...lol..thats life

Well a dog is man's best friend, but in reality it is God that is man's best friend, so its probably not a coincidence. I mean why do you think Good without a "O" is God, or Evil with a "D" is Devil.

Wow...it's funny you say that because i have been thinking that myself if you said 'Live god' backwards you would get 'Evil dog'.
Kinda freaky i guess....maybe it's a sign that we humans are too dumb to understand.
I've always personally thought Christianity is like a story nothing real just something for insecure people to hold onto as they say: 'Jesus is my rock'. Or is it just a fake thing that people belive in so strongly that they actually fool themselves that mircales are performed by God or jesus.

God in spanish is Dios , spell backwards is Siod
God in german is Got, spell backwards is Tog
God in portugueise is Deus, spell bakwards is Sued
