i can't help a whole lot, but my grand mother has Parkinson's and Dementia she is now on a med that makes her feel alot better!! I'm not sure of the name, I'm so very sorry. It does not do alot of nerve damage, but it does affect the brain very badly, and it does cause alot of shaking and trembling. Good Luck with your mom!!

I have Parkinsons. I take Mirapex. There's also another drug that I use to take that really helped. But my disease is under control right now. There's also a brain surgery that can be done. A friend in the nursing home I use to be in,had it done. Was fine for 10 years.

She can take some medicine in the beginning to slow it down but there is no cure for Parkinson's. I'm sorry.

Yes there is medication that will help control it somewhat, but she will probably need to see a neurologist to determine what is the best medication for her.
