Tell me your thoughts.

The Bible tells us that God's thoughts are not our thoughts, but rather His thoughts are as high above ours as the heaven is above the earth ( Isaiah 55:8-9) We do not know how to conceive things like He does.

The Bible talks about our having the mind of Christ. I believe that we think the thoughts that are coming the very heart of Godwhen we let Jesus to live through us.
We are asked to let the mind of Jesus be in us. We might not understand God's ways and timing.
I asked this question because I wanted all my sisters and brothers in Christ to give me advice when I come across with a question like this and I do not quite know what I should say.

As a new Christian, I asked that question a lot too. Nobody ever gave me a strait answer. It was always "just follow your heart, you'll know" and stuff like that. Over time I've come to know that its better to go with the thought that co-insides with the Bible. That's always the best route (in my experience) Hope I've helped you a little but you do have your own of the flesh thoughts and you have what the Holy Spirit will tell you. Know the Spirit will never tell you anything wrong so if you can find cruelty in your thought than its more than likely not of the Lord. God bless. Also pray & ask God to give you wisdom in knowing the difference.

That is a very good question. This would clearly depend upon your own religious persuasion...Some would say that since only authorized representatives (think the Catholic priestly hierarchy) can officially interpret God's thoughts (the Word), then anything you thought in contradiction to that would be your own thoughts....
Since I don't ascribe to that doctrine, my best guess would be that you cannot know God's thoughts (isn't there a passage about how none can know the plans or mind of the Lord?). Ergo, all thoughts you have are yours....? But I'm only guessing...thank you for the question which makes me ponder.

Any way of asking that question points to you being a mentally unstable and dangerous person.

If you even think that you are having God's Thoughts then you would be a great contender for cult leader.

Basically you think in a way that you have the mind of god at times.

Please get help before you use this as a justification for doing something that you will regret till you die.

Hope This helps.

You will know it when it happens. It may be different for some but most say it creates a warning sensation inside you. Some call it the still small voice. Others say tingling. Often times you won't experience it right away, you need to listen. When you are talking on the phone to a friend you can't ask them a question and hang up and expect to "Hear" the answer do you? Sometimes you need to do what you can and then he will help with the rest.

Get closer to him. I am not saying become a Nun r something like that but you may need to change some things about yourself to get there.

I highly recommend that you get the book, Battlefield of the Mind,By Joyce Meyer. Your thoughts and God's thought are not the same. In away I don't get your question, do you mean are your thoughts, thoughts that God would want you to have? If they are worldly, then NO and if you try to do things your way and not Gods, then NO.

I am not trying to be mean!
I just don't understand your problem...
You believe that God is thinking in your head? Do you often have thoughts that you cannot explain? Ideas that you would not normally formulate? Do you think in a different language?
If i sound like i'm mocking you I am not....
Your thoughts are your own.
God, if he has the vast power and knowledge people believe he does, wouldn't need to use your head to think in. sorry

Your thoughts aren't always gonna be pure. When you go to do something you're not supposed to next time, is there a voice telling you not to do that??? It's your conscience, God is mine. If you listen to him, he won't steer you wrong. On the other hand, we're given the power of choice, you can choose to make bad decisions, but you must ask forgiveness, for these choices are considered sin, and he will forgive if you ask...I hope I've helped!

Isaiah 55: 8-9

8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Sounds pretty cut and dry to me.

Your thoughts belong to you and stem from you. God's thoughts are his and recorded in his word, the Bible. You may have godly thoughts, but when God speaks to you, you will know. God's word says that He speaks to you in a slow still voice. When he speaks to you, usually while in prayer or meditation, you will know it is Him, your senses will tell you it is Him.
