16 and 19, 15 and 18, 17 and 24 etc and all ASSUMING the older one must be into different things like what do they have in common?

How about the usual...? snowboarding surfing, music, dancing, bowling, cinema, kissing, cuddling etc etc.

Why assume he must be only into one thing... Why wouldn't the older one just like and fancy the younger one?

And why Assume those her age or a year older are no different or more of a jerk collecting bead post notches to boast or simply trying to loose it by any means? or more into alcohol or drugs?

Whynot think... the older one is probably a party animal but been around a little longer seen the consequences so now looks after younger mates seening them home safe, making sure others aint mean to them, avoiding dark alleys etc?

Why would he not be into those his own age...
Maybe mothered too much, shy, as was shy not good with girls, so not a player... as needy was rejected. less mature etc?

Maybe both parties see nothing wrong as used to hanging in mixed age groups ie so in sos younger ssiter or brother tags along his mate that older mate etc.

the older ones are into clubbing? Well so are the younger ones... we all got into clubbs from 16... only were never into booze much... More the music, goign to movies, concerts etc same and iant changed...

Maybe they like hanging with younger folk as they have parties and big groups of friends whils tthe older ones friends are too serious about work or just turned into stiffs...

or all coupled up, they are on their own and want the single life hanging with the boys and with a hot babe girlfieind only now catching up and finally the cool one in the group...

Why automatically see bad?

And not think maythe those her age could be the bad guys into one thing, preditiory, manipluative etc especaillif if aint done it much...

In most cases...

This does not mean anything goes... you look for abuse but not so much due to age... ie a bully is a bully be they 15 or 25
likewise a nice guy...

As for kissing and touching etc... well thats waht all couples do regardless of age but considerally more so 15-18... They are the ones snoggin on the floor in nightclubs

Mostly thinking mid teens upwards here.

Also being older is likley to be a bit more mature when it comes to spotting trouble so deciding to leave, more likly to be more mature about contraception to.

I am in one of those relationships right now (teenager-mid twenty relationship). Ours if fine! I have gone out with other guys however who have tried to push stuff like that on to me because they think that if you are younger you are easier to sway into giving sexual gratification. I think you should ignore what people think because at the end of the day, you know the true basis of that relationship if you are in it (if you have your head screwed on anyway!).

I personally think that it is possible to have a healthy relationship despite an age gap. I've been with my husband for almost 6 years. I was 13 when we got together, he was 26. It sounds bad, and it took a long time for people to accept us. We just fitted together, I wasn't a normal 13 year old. I think seeing as we are still together and have a 'normal' life, it proves that age gap relationships can be healthy. I don't think that this should mean everyone is okay to go out with older men, parents do need to be vigilant, but in some cases, its fine

i agree it's silly....older guys might look out for younger ones, but if the guy is much older (i say five years) then he is just looking for sex. but if i can't hug my 20-year-old friend without him getting arrested, than that's ridiculous.
