Deal with it. We have a common ancestor with apes.

Now I know some of you are going to ask "if we came from monkeys why are there still monkeys?" They youre going to try to tell me that we came from dirt (or dust)

Well, if we came from dirt why is there still dirt? If women come from ribs then why are there still ribs?

Then youll claim that Darwin admitted he was wrong. But you leave out the part where it was a priest who told everyone he had admitted he was wrong.

Why are you people such idiots when it comes to reality?

Mormon Boy:

I need to be smarter? So you believe that Native Americans are actually from Jerusalem and their skin ONLY changed color when the second wave of people from Jerusalem arrived. You also believe that your holy book is a new testament that was found in the USA and one which noone has actually seen the original of. It was also read out to be written down from a hat.

Yeh - I have to be smarter!

And yet again all the bible thumpers have shown that they are incapable of intelligent answers.

common ancestors are not equal to what exists today. We did not come from monkeys, but rather the common ancestor.

I like that the common primate ancestor idea takes a back seat to the idea that our origin is dust with most religious folk.

But where did dust come from? We're told that the vast majority of what we call dust is made up from dead skin cells. So did God create dead skin cells first so that he'd have something to make Adam with?

Maybe the bible means dirt. If so, why do we "return to dust" when we die, but not sand or dirt? Sand and dirt is not the same as dust by any means.

It should be fairly obvious that the book of Geneis is no better than collection of ancient mythology, that is was written by someone of limited understanding whose life was dictated by theistic explanations for existence.

Where is your "missing link"? We may be in the same classification or order or whatever as monkeys, however human DNA is very specific and different that monkeys. Variation is possible within any species but there are no crossovers.
I do not claim that Darwin admitted he was wrong. However, Darwin himself stated "Often a cold shudder has run through me, and I have asked myself whether I may have not devoted myself to a phantasy" (Charles Darwin, Life and Letters 1887, Vol2 p. 229) from The Evolution Handbook by Vance Ferrell. (I would strongly suggest reading it or visit www.evolution-facts.org. Very logical reading.)
As far as the Holy Bible, there is early evidence of it having existed. There is something called the "Dead Sea Scrolls" found in 1947 containing books in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). There is also archeological evidence of many other things within the bible.

Well..we keep finding all these fossils of man or ape-like creatures. And yet in all this time they have not found anything remotely like a common ancestor.

Could it possibly be that God wanted BOTH types creatures on the planet?

Only we are the ones he chose to give a soul to.

The bottom line is that there are no important differences biologically between humans and apes.

Every living thing that has ever inhabitted this planet has had something like 99.9% of the same gentic make up.... Everything had a common ancestor.

If you ever read the Bible, you'd know that only one man came from dust and one woman came from a rib.
That's like saying if a car was made of steel, then why is there so much steel left. You are showing your IQ again.
I'm a Christian and didn't come from apes. Judging from your question, I can't be too sure about you. Do your knuckles drag the ground ?

LOL Do you think people hear "we come from monkeys" and see a picture of a "monkey" in their heads?

Like a monkey that see in zoos and on TV?

Why isn't this argument constructed with a regular person in mind. Not just a cold fact that makes people want to argue?

Why not say something that is believable?

Like we were born of neanderthals... even that is more believable than saying a monkey.

Maybe God looked at monkeys and said " Hmm I'm going to change them into humans with a soul like my own"

You're right with regard to what you say about human ancestry. You also draw valid comparisons with Biblical metaphors.

But why call basically good and decent people "idiots"?

Would it really be so difficult to be strong in your own beliefs and refrain from berating others for theirs?
