Okay, after you die, you'll see a light at the end of the tunnel.Don't go there! That's heaven, and a rather dull place if you ask me.So take a left at the light. That's where the party is.A left, remember. If you take a right, that's hell, and while it is a fun place, they are kinda strict about the rules. So take a left at the light, and join the party!

OK, well, it's not easy. For one, if you are just too good or have a little bit too much care or tenderness for something, you are liable to overshoot and end up in an interview with St Peter. On the other hand, if you are just a little too evil, you go to the other place from which there is no return.
There is another way, however. In my house (as in many others) there is a smallish room which bears different names, depending on the function it is called upon to serve. Bathroom, toilet, WC, men's/ladies' room and lavatory are some of the names it has borne, depending who's asking. Now if you were to take a dose of, shall we say, Syrup of Buckthorn, you would very quickly be asking where that room was and, owing to the nature of the said syrup, you might well be desirous of the Purgatory beyond all else!

lol To get to purgatory I think you just have to kind of be umm not a bad guy but not really trying your best either. Being lazy is a good way to get there. But.. you can't stay there. Purgatory is for people who are headed for heaven after this time of purification. You can take your time though, if you can stand the heat... there is a refining fire there.
I understand Purgatory to be a state, a condition, in which we know we will eventually be in heaven, and we long for it very much,,, and we are more aware of the things we did to hurt people that are keeping us out of heaven, the attitudes we have that are negative and unloving,,, and we feel bad for those,,, and this is a suffering. It's different than hell, because only people who absolutely reject God and Love go there,, there is no desire in them to be with God or to love anybody. Heaven is for those who died being totally committed to God,,, or who become through Purgatory totally committed to God and to love.

Purgatory is not something you aim for. It is a consequence of not being worthy or pure enough for Heaven. If you do nothing to seek God and try your best to live as he wishes in the hopes of "just ending up in purgatory", you will wind up in hell. That's not a gamble I would take. God Bless

Well if you accept the Lord and still have sins at the time of your death you will go to purgatory. How to stay there a long time though is a tougher question.

Hi.
Sorry to dissapoint you but there is no such thing as purgatory.
PLEASE read the bible for yourself.
Many things taught in the Catholic church are not of God and not found in the bible, as a matter of fact things like purgatory, indulgences, confession to a man and not to God, praying to statues and to "saints"... these things are not of God and not in the bible.
The bible is the inerrant Word of God.
Please do the research and see for yourself that you need to have a right relationship with Jesus Christ to go the heaven. The only other place to go after we die is to hell.

Sorry chum, yet there is not any such element as purgatory. It would not even say so interior the bible, and to all who says there is verses which could "interpret" to point out in the direction of purgatory think of approximately this: we are given the names of Heaven, Hell, Earth/the worldwide, Eden, and so on. So if Purgatory existed then why would not there be a acceptance for it? whether the Hebrews did no longer have "purgatory" of their dictionaries would not there be some form of brand given to it?

Take Interstate 80 to I 79, take I79 south for 3 exits. At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left, drive for 17.47 miles, then pull over and wait.
