It is an very old Asian tradition, even if they have a law made in 10 years to fight it, they tradion is so strong that it will still be as common as 1 out of 2 childen sold by parents and a 93% prostitution rate among young girls and the old men in the world will always want a young attractive girl for a wife or sex. It has been that way from the start of time. The real problem is that the men either never have sex or choose that. This is because women in the US hate all men and wont have sex. Unless your very rich.

This is being remedied for some time in Thailand already. If there are any, they are usually underground activities. As in every countries that you come across.
Thailand had clamped down quite alot in this area already, but the old notion that Thailand is a prostitution haven has not diminished. The foreign visitors still do brag about their exploits like it is on every street corners.
Majority of the Thai do take pride in being a Thai, though there will always be exceptions. In fact sex with minors carry a jail term if caught. Likewise for unconsensual sex. Many foreign visitors are not aware of this. There had been foreigners being arrested over the year for this offence, or even deported back to their country.
You do not see the sex trade in Thailand so commonly now. there had been alot of cleaning up during Thaksin's governance. So be aware that tall tales still flow. Things and times had changed in Thailand now.

Heck yes. Not just Thailand. Look what is happening in the good ole USA. We have an epidemic of pedofiles, child molesters and perverts. Have you watched NBC Dateline lately where they set them up and arrest them for their stupidity? Felony offenses.
Mans morals are going down the tubes and God is watching us.
Parents: Watch and guard your children and know where your little loved ones are at all times because we now live in a very sick society.
May God have mercy on the people of the United States, along with Thailand and the whole world.

Yeah tis true. It's common problem in south east asia regarding phidophiles and thailand is no exception. Considering that tourism is the major industry in thailand.

Unfortunately...yes. Families in poverty will sell their children even to older men. In some cases, the prostitutes are girls no older then eight years old. Its absolutely disgusting. If I ever had the chance to meet some bastard who does this kind of thing to girls that age, I'd cut their fuc*ing nuts off and shove 'em down their fuc*ing throat.
